The hotel's location is excellent. It sits right at the heart of the city. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The room was also super clean and well-stocked with amenities.
The emphasis on the champagne lounge was a problem. Off-site customers could book it. Hotel occupants who did not pre-book were not allowed in. There was no other lounge available for hotel guests to relax in.

I found the staff friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is very central, made exploring easy (Waverley train station is across the street!). I really appreciated the complimentary mini bar. It had lovely Scottish treats.
The shower design allowed some water to escape onto the floor, a minor inconvenience.

The room featured soft towels and blackout curtains, really nice. The design felt modern and well planned. I liked the complimentary toiletries provided (especially the shampoo!).

The hotel offers free luggage storage, perfect for onward travel to the Highlands. Wi-Fi speeds were good, this allowed for easy streaming. Chromecast options were available for the tv, very convenient.

The room was quite small, i must say. i nearly tripped over my suitcase trying to navigate the limited space and the restaurant staff seems to have skipped charm school. A smile wouldn't hurt anyone. i thought the hotel was overpriced given its size and lack of facilities, i expected more for the money i spent. the minibar was nice, but it didn't fully compensate for the other shortcomings, especially the bathroom size.
